With America becoming more authoritarian/totalitarian, sooner or later the 1st Amendment will completely be gone, people will start getting arrested for fictional text, books, art, etc. etc. they produce and consume. Imagine going to jail over that that, completely insane. The internet should be open and free and I don't want my cartoon smut taken away from me.

This bill is passing and I worry for this site and others like it.

The first amendment no longer exists, "age verification" laws are Trojan horses for an authoritarian Government. All it does is place your identity at risk of theft and does absolutely nothing but give the Government more power over you.

People compare the internet to buying alcohol in person, they think that since you show ID to buy alcohol you should show ID to access certain websites. This tool can be used to suppress certain information that the current Government doesn't approve of, it's almost like Nazis burning books.

I doubt the admins will disclose the specific state. I don't think they're located in a state that's going through the whole age-verification ID nonsense, otherwise they would've announced something about it (like pornhub)
